Auditions: Friday, October 2nd 7:30PM-9:30PM & Saturday, October 3rd 6:00PM-8:00PM
Callbacks: Sunday, October 4th 2:00PM-5:00PM (By invitation only)
If you would like to audition but cannot attend either audition day in person, please still fill out an audition form and email info@rebelphxtheatre.com to be provided sides to submit a self-tape. Self-tapes for auditions will be accepted until October 3rd at 8:00pm.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will potentially begin as early as October 8th, and will run a total of 4 days a week - between Mondays & Thursdays during the week from 6:30-9:30pm in Tempe, AZ, and on Sundays from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Ballet Theatre of Phoenix

About the Show:
Sherri Rosen-Mason is head of the admissions department at a New England prep school, fighting to diversify the student body. Alongside her husband, the school’s headmaster, they’ve largely succeeded in bringing a stodgy institution into the twenty-first century. But when their only son sets his sights on an Ivy League university, personal ambition collides with progressive values, with convulsive results. A no-holds-barred look at privilege, power, and the perils of hypocrisy.

Bill Mason - Age: 40s-50s; White Male Presenting ~ Very liberal WASP, Sherri's husband. Head of School at Hillcrest Prep
Charlie Mason - Age: 17; White Male Presenting ~ Bill and Sherri's son, a senior at Hillcrest Prep
Ginnie Peters - Age: 40s-50s; White Female Presenting ~ Very liberal WASP, stay-at-home mom, her son is Charlie's best friend.
Roberta - Age: 60s-70s; White Female Presenting ~ Works in development at Hillcrest Prep.
A Note on Intimacy
Admissions includes moments of intimacy as part of its storytelling. Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective is committed to creating a safe, professional, and respectful rehearsal room.
Examples of intimacy in the production include:
Sherri and Bill: may kiss and otherwise show affection with gentle holding or caressing.
Sherri and Charlie: will share two (2) hugs and have moments of physical touch on the shoulder and arms.
Important:
All intimate moments will be fully choreographed by an Intimacy Coordinator, who will be present in all rehearsals where intimacy is staged.
Actor boundaries are central. All work will be done with active involvement, open communication, and clear consent from the actors at every stage of the process.

About the Author:
Joshua Harmon
Joshua's plays include Bad Jews, Significant Other, Admissions, Skintight, and Prayer for the French Republic. He and Sarah Silverman co-wrote the libretto for The Bedwetter based on her memoir. His plays have been produced on Broadway and the West End; off-Broadway at Roundabout Theatre Company, Lincoln Center Theater, Manhattan Theater Club and Atlantic Theater Company; across the country at Geffen Playhouse, Speakeasy, Studio Theatre, Theater Wit, About Face, Actor's Express, and The Magic, among others; and internationally in a dozen countries. He is a two-time MacDowell fellow and an Associate Artist at Roundabout. Graduate of Juilliard.
Meet the Directors:
Alexandra Kallis
Alexandra passionately applies both her artistic and organizational skills to bring theatre to life. Ali holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. While studying there she was awarded both the “Outstanding Achievement at Technical Production Track” for her Costume Design work on Sweeney Todd, and the “Outstanding Transfer Student Award” in Directing from Playwrights Horizons Theater School.
Much of her life since has been spent raising and homeschooling her two children, including 3 years of full time travel as a family.
Recent theatre credits here in Arizona include Director, Assistant Director, Properties Designer, Costume Designer, Set Designer, and Stage Manager for Mesa Encore Theatre, Actor’s Youth Theatre, Inspire Theatre Company, And our own Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective.
Payten Christopher McLeod (he/him) is an artist in pursuit of a promising and successful career in theatre. Payten is also co-founder and Assistant Artistic Director of Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective. Beginning his training at 4 years old with Childsplay, Payten's passion and love for performing has grown as he's garnered more experience with multiple theaters around the Arizona valley for over nearly two decades. Participating in summer programs, graduating from Childsplay's Conservatory Program, and engaging in performance competitions, Payten prides himself on his dedication to his craft, his hard work, and hunger to learn as much as possible in order to become the best all-around performer possible.
Payten remains as always so thankful for the opportunities he's been given thus far, and strives to continue to improve as he embarks on what marks only the beginning of his professional career in theater.
